Birchbat is a throwing game played on your iPhone. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics and no in-app purchases. This page explains, in full, what the app does with data.
What stays on your iPhone
Your ladder progress, stars, best results, Partia history, daily results, ghost throws and settings are stored only on this iPhone, in the app's own storage. They are never uploaded. Deleting the app deletes them; you can also erase them in Settings → Your woodpile → Reset progress.
What leaves your iPhone
Version check. Once per launch the app sends a short request to our server at birchbat.info to learn whether a newer version is available. It contains exactly three fields: a device identifier (the push subscription identifier if notifications are set up, otherwise Apple's vendor identifier, which is specific to our apps on your device), the app's bundle identifier and the app version. The server uses them to choose its answer and does not log or store them. If the request fails, the app simply opens.
Notifications (optional). If notification delivery through OneSignal is enabled in the app, OneSignal receives a push token and the vendor identifier so it can deliver messages, plus a few technical tags: whether this is a first install, which launch screen was shown, and whether you asked for news. The daily-figure reminder is scheduled on your iPhone, not sent by a server. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings → Birchbat → Notifications.
Web pages. Privacy and support pages open in an in-app browser; in rare cases a version notice is shown as a web page. Like any browser, these views may keep cookies or local storage for the pages they show.
What we do not collect
No name, email, location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera access, health data, advertising identifier, analytics events, crash reports or purchase history. The app does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Children
Birchbat is rated 4+ and contains nothing aimed specifically at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, children included.
Where data is processed
The version check runs on Cloudflare's network. Notification delivery, if enabled, is handled by OneSignal, Inc. in the United States. Both may process data outside your country.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or object to processing by writing to support@birchbat.info. Because we keep almost nothing, the usual answer is that there is nothing to delete beyond your support emails; to remove a notification registration, turn notifications off, delete the app and tell us, and we will ask OneSignal to erase the record.
Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, this page changes first and the date at the top moves. The latest version always lives at birchbat.info/privacy.
